About me

I was born in 1971 in Trier in Germany from a stateless father, born himself in Bratislava from an Hungarian father and a Slovakian mother and a french mother.

I grew up in Germany in a bi-cultural environment (speaking french at home and German at school) till my secondary school-leaving exam. In 1990 I moved to Marseilles, were I studied Science and Mathematics at the University, attending a Bachelor degree of Science.

In 1994 I met my professional alter ego and I started to work with him as consultant on an European NGO project we developed since and established beside as freelance translator and conference interpreter, because that's what I wanted to do.

I was not specially trained for, but as a natural bilingual, you gain your first experiences with translation as a child, when your french cousins didn't speak German and your German friends not french.

During my studies at University, I also had gained some experiences during some extras as interpreter (for a German TV production and during several cultural exchanges) because and that's what I was destined for and I liked it.

During the past 14 years, i worked in a broad range of fields basically for German translation agencies and some other clients throughout the world and translated nearby 2 millions of words in total, essentially from German to french, but also from french to German or even from and into English.

My areas of specialisation are Communication and Motor-sport, Social Science, Public relations, aerospace industries or electronics but I also like to translate texts in philosophy, psychology or pedagogy.
